Agitation, heating/cooling, level instruments and the pump type depend on the product. The pictured vessels do not establish that every tank includes a jacket, agitator or aseptic construction.

At the inlet

Pumpable pulp with its temperature, particles, fibres and accepted holding condition defined.

At the outlet

Pulp supplied to a refiner, deaerator or thermal system through the chosen transfer path.

How the machine works

Inventory accumulates between defined operating levels while the outlet supplies the next step. The useful buffer is the usable level range under an acceptable residence condition, not simply the tank volume. A small timing mismatch may be absorbed; a permanent shortage of upstream output cannot.

Connect the surrounding equipment

Identify the pulp inlet, pump suction, receiving route, vent and drain. Allocate pipework and valves between the vessel package and downstream skid. A fibrous pulp needs a compatible passage and suction condition throughout, not just at the pump flange.

Maintenance & cleaning access

Review vessel drainability, accessible seals, branches and the actual spray or washing arrangement. Check the return path as part of a connected CIP duty. A clean tank does not establish cleanliness in an unflushed valve branch.
